At Utrecht Science Park, UU has decided to keep the Administration Building and the Groenman building closed this Friday. In the city centre, Bijlhouwerstraat, Trans 10, Muntstraat 2a, Drift 6, and Drift 13 will be closed. As for the International Campus, UU is closing the Spinoza Hall and the Adam Smith Hall. Kromme Nieuwe Gracht 80, Drift 10, and Drift 15 will be open only to movers due to renovations.

No in-person classes have taken place at UU all week, and Friday will be no different, except for a few practical sessions. Most staff members are working from home, but many either have Friday off or work only half of the day. The decision to close the buildings helps the university save energy and money, and avoids forcing receptionists and cleaners to travel to work.

The six educational buildings that are closed today are Janskerkhof 15a, Israƫlslaan, the Educatorium, the Marinus Ruppert Building, Daltonlaan 500 and Bolognalaan.

At 4 pm on Sunday, Utrecht University will post on its website whether lectures will resume on campus and staff members may come to work on Monday, 12 January.
