How is American policy affecting Dutch academia?

Unavailable data sets, funding being taken away, American peers afraid to even pick up the phone... Many stories are circulating about the consequences of American science policy for Dutch academia.
The investigative journalists of Investico (part of the magazine De Groene Amsterdammer), NU.nl and the Higher Education Press Agency (HOP) have joined forces to investigate how Dutch scientists are being affected by the Trump administration.
If you work in academia and would like to help them, you can do so by filling out a short questionnaire. It takes five minutes to answer it.
KNAW is one of the participants
The Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW) recently asked similar questions to its members. KNAW has also joined the joint investigation.
The questionnaire is in English, but people can also answer the open questions in Dutch. Respondents' contact details are only requested for verification purposes and will never be used in a publication without consent.
Earlier this week, DUB published an article in which three climate scientists working at UU describe how their work has been affected by the US government's actions.
