Last call for submissions to the Campus Columnist 2021 competition
DUB is looking for its Campus Columnist 2021. Everyone linked to the university on January 1, 2021, is eligible.
In mid December, the jury will read all columns and choose three finalists, whose columns will be shared with DUB's readers. The winner will be unveiled in January.
Wondering what to write? Current campus columnists Francis van den Brink and Keerthi Sridharan recommend being yourself and choosing a topic you care about.
Jury member Geert Buelens said in an interview with DUB that it is important for a campus columnist to be an avid reader. The more you read, the better you write. While assessing the quality of the columns submitted, Buelens will be looking at how fun they are to read and whether they make him think.
To enter the competition, send two original columns to m.j.agterberg@uu.nl. They must offer a surprising look at university life and may not be longer than 500 words.
