Suspect arrested for defacing Drift

The police announced on X that a person was caught defacing a university building on Tuesday afternoon, at about 6:40 pm. The suspect is in custody for investigation.
About a hundred pro-Palestine activists walked from Jaarbeursplein to Drift yesterday. The university had closed its buildings on that street as a precaution. Protesters then sprayed slogans on one of the facades and a door.
Earlier this week, activists defaced the Administration Building at Utrecht Science Park. It is unclear whether the arrested person was involved in this other defacing case.
