Win tickets to watch Izilo, a dance performance from South Africa, at Stadsschouwburg Utrecht

In the first part, Vincent Mantsoe dances on a stage covered in autumn leaves. His dance is a “beastly” resistance of almost aggressive dance movements in which he angrily stomps to a staccato of melodies. The idea is to depict the disorder and confusion of a society in disarray. In the second part, Mantsoe embraces the concept of Ubuntu: I am because you are. It is about collectivity and our connection with the earth, in which everything that lives has a vital and spiritual power.
