SSH tenants' energy bill to become less expensive than expected

“We're still calculating exactly how much each building is going to pay", explains SSH spokesperson Madelon van Gameren. "Once we have concrete numbers, we'll notify the tenants".
Late last year, energy provider Eneco announced its intention to double its rates for district heating, forcing student housing provider SSH to pass the costs onto the tenants. Students living in about fifty buildings and four student complexes would have to pay dozens of euros more each month.
SSH tenants should learn the definitive amount charged for service costs by the end of February. The new costs will be effective as of March 1, 2022.
