On December 4th 2020 the World Sustainable Development Teach-In Day will be held!

This major online event is organized by the European School of Sustainability Science and Research (ESSSR) and the Inter-University Sustainable Development Research Programme (IUSDRP) and led by the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (Germany) and Manchester Metropolitan University (UK).

The event will be organized in English, Spanish, Portugese, French and German and marks the beginning of a decade-long global movement that aims to raise and spread awareness of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030. It provides lecturers & learners with profound scientific information on sustainable development and will showcase strategies and practical examples of projects from all over the world. The open access action aims to facilitate networking and knowledge transfer within a digital learning environment.

Participating is fairly easy. First register through the application form. You can either create a lecture, or ‘adopt’ a sustainable development presentation of your choice and include this in your own teaching lessons on December 4th 2020. In case you want to adopt a presentation, ready made presentations in each of the abovementioned 5 languages will be available from November 9th and accessible through our website www.dl4sd.org.

You can share your teaching experience with us on social media and via TID discussion boards, and network with fellow learners around the world on the platform.

Are you interested in participating, but not able to hold a live lecture on December 4th? No worries, you can record a presentation beforehand and share it on the platform as well.

We hope to see you all online on December 4th on the World Sustainable Development Teach-In Day!
