Ontdek onze gloednieuwe ‘Parnassos Film Club’ vanaf dit najaar! Bereid je voor op een gezellige filmervaring in onze theaterzaal.
Elke filmavond bij de Parnassos Film Club heeft een uniek thema. We werken samen met diverse filmfestivals om elke filmavond een passend randprogramma neer te zetten. De film en het programma zijn voornamelijk in het Engels. Op die manier is de Film Club voor zo veel mogelijk mensen toegankelijk.
De eerste Film Club storten we ons in het actuele thema ‘de man’ en mannelijkheid. In een wereld waar de Barbie-gekte nog fris in ons geheugen zit. In samenwerking met InScience – International Science Film Festival Nijmegen vertonen we deze editie van de Parnassos Film Club de Franse documentaire Garconierres van Celine Pernet.
De documentairemaakster ondervraagt in haar documentaire aan verschillende mannen goudeerlijke vragen. Let’s talk about men! Wat betekent het om man te zijn? Hoe is de 21-century man? Mag een man emoties hebben? De documentaire is een ontwapenend en vermakelijk vertelt portret van masculiniteit.
De avond wordt afgesloten met een verdiepend en interactief programma met twee wetenschappers van de Universiteit Utrecht, Onur Şahin en Elena Bacchini en moderator Ama. Meer informatie over de wetenschappers en moderator vind je op onze website.

Discover our brand-new ‘Parnassos Film Club’ this fall! Get ready for a cinematic experience in our cozy theater.
Every movie night at the Parnassos Film Club has a unique theme. We collaborate with various film festivals to create a fitting program for each night. The film and the program are primarily in English, making the Film Club accessible to as many people as possible.
In the first Film Club, we delve into the current theme of ‘the man’ and masculinity. In a world where the Barbie Hype is still fresh in our memory. In collaboration with InScience – International Science Film Festival Nijmegen, we will be screening the French documentary ‘Garçonnières‘ by Celine Pernet.
The documentary filmmaker asks brutally honest questions to various men in her documentary. Let’s talk about men! What does it mean to be a man? What is the 21st-century man like? Is it okay for a man to have emotions? The documentary is a disarmingly entertaining portrait of masculinity.
We will conclude the evening with an in-depth and interactive program featuring two scientists from the Utrecht University, Onur Şahin and Elena Bacchini, along with moderator, Ama.
