SusTasty is back! Replenish your energy from the 17th of September with a week of sustainable food, facts and fun at the University Library City Center courtyard. Green Office Utrecht is bringing you local food trucks full of vegan treats and sustainable surprises, as well as workshops, games, music and nourishing chats.
We'll have green-friendly street food galore: grab a vegan hot dog from Punk Dog; enjoy one of Tante Tofu's plant-based burgers or kebabs; try something new with a cricket burger from Burgs Foods ; sample vegan sushi from Eethuis Honkies; savour a slice (or six) or organic pizza baked in a mobile wood oven by Foekje's Eko Food; or have a wholesome lunch that helps fight food waste and hunger with Soupalicious .
Sweet tooth? Indulge in vegan baking from Zoete Koek and pastries from Zus & Zo; marvel at how Churros4All can create delicious churros with no gluten, milk, sugar or egg; and if the sun's out (fingers crossed) enjoy organic ice cream from The Ice Bike.
It's all about food that's good for your tastebuds and the planet - but there's also plenty to learn. Drop in to Imagining the Future of Food on Monday to brainstorm ideas and questions about transitioning to more sustainable modes of food production. Learn how to make the most of leftover fruit at Vegan Baking: Plum Tart on Wednesday. And on Friday, find out more about eating insects at Crickets: the Future of Protein .
There will also be games to make you think about the impact your food choices can have, with the chance to win everything from a reusable coffee cup to a week's worth of sustainable groceries.
