Until 6 April 2023, Utrecht University students and staff were able to stand as candidates for the University, Service Department and Faculty Councils. We now know who did! You can vote for them during the elections that will be held from Monday 8 – Wednesday 10 May 2023. Check out the candidates now!

Elections

This year two student and two staff parties have submitted candidacy lists. There are more candidates than seats, which means that elections will be held from 8 - 10 May 2023.

Thinking along and giving advice

At Utrecht University, students, grant-PhD candidates and employees have their say on university policies. They also give advice to the university governors. In this respect, it is important to have a well-organised advisory body in place. The University Council is the advisory body of Utrecht University and consists of students, grant-PhD candidates and employees. The Faculty Council is the counterpart of the University Council at the faculty level. The Service Department Council represents the people working at the service departments.
