Ozan Ozavci

Dr. Ozan Ozavci is Assistant Professor of Transimperial History at Utrecht University, and associate member at the Centre d’Études Turques, Ottomanes, Balkaniques et Centrasiatiques (CETOBaC, UMR 8032) in Paris. He specializes in Euro-Middle Eastern entangled histories of ideology, security, diplomacy and finances from the late eighteenth century until the present day. His next book, Dangerous Gifts: Imperialism, Security, and Civil Wars in the Levant, 1798-1864 will be published in July 2021 by Oxford University Press.
