28 March: International Ambition.
Do you like the beach? Or do you prefer studying? Don’t worry if you are unable to choose. For studying, internships and working abroad can be interesting as well as a lot of fun.
The Erasmus Student Network (ESN) organises the International Ambition event in collaboration with international student organisations AIESEC, SIFE AEGEE and SIB. Please join in, gather knowledge, information and be inspired about studying and working abroad.
The day will be kicked-off by Dutch Minister of Education Ronald Plasterk. He will talk about his own experiences as an exchange student in England. His experience has led him to encourage as many young people as possible to go and study abroad. Students from 200 European cities will be present at the event to inform visitors about their cities and universities. The event will include workshops and presentations for both Dutch and international students. There will also be time to relax: during a salsa workshop; a dancing session on a Wii-J; or by participating in the Fair-Striptease show.
The International Ambition event is part of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of ESN. Some 400 to 500 international students will be welcomed to Utrecht between 26 and 29 March, who will come here from all over Europe to represent their respective ESN sections. Host ESN-Utrecht, is this year celebrating its 20th anniversary, and is the oldest of all the ESN sections.
The event will take place from 12 to 5 pm in the Educatorium at De Uithof Campus. For more information go to www.internationalambition.nl.
